"GOODBYE,I" a new play by Lee A. Whitelock has a live reading this afternoon at The Criterion Theatre, West End. The piece is produced by Rum and Monkey Productions and directed by James Gaukroger. The reading features Adjoa Andoh, Waleed Elgadi, Tamara Camacho, Eiji Mihara and will be narrated by Louisa.
SYNOPSIS: Professor REAGAN has the unenviable task of negotiating the suicidal thoughts of her students through either the door to redemption or the door to fruition, like a troubled St. Peter for the lost. Goodbye, I asks the question: If we're in control of our lives, do we get to choose if we live or die? Welcome to suicide.
Mental health and suicide awareness is a topic seriously lacking discussion within the U.K; with 1 in 6 people experiencing common mental health problems. Rum and Monkey would like to open this dialogue, and stage a London run with an option to take the play on tour
